Nanny's Cooking
Nanny was my wife’s grandmother. She was loved and respected by all. One of her grandsons remarked
that “ if there is a kitchen in haven Nanny will be in it”. Years ago
my wife realized that if she was to learn any of the recipes from her grandmother she would need to get
in the kitchen with her and find out how much was a handful of this, a pinch of that and write it down.
I will try to from time to time share some of these recipes with you. From yeast rolls that would float
across the table, real Cajun gumbo, fruit cake that will sustain you better than any trail mix and
coffee that will keep you going. |
